Trust me: Zillow-ing all over the place for no reason whatsoever is basically my second job. So believe me when I say that this trend is just as prominent in cities as it is in rural areas. Sometimes, I think it’s genuinely nice to look at, and it lends a subtle, clean texture to rooms that otherwise wouldn’t have it. Other times, I think it’s Basic…with a capital “B.” But I genuinely can’t decide — which is exactly why I need your help. But remember: We’re talking about aesthetics here, not function.
